A home lactation consult takes place in the comfort of your own home. It includes professional, hands-on support, up-to-date education, immediate tips, and a customized care plan tailored to your goals and your baby’s needs.
I offer home lactation consults to families in Chelsea, Wakefield, Val-des-Monts, Masham, Cantley, Gatineau, and Ottawa.​​​
Initial Home Lactation Consult
90 minutes | $210
​
Your initial home lactation consult is a comprehensive 90-minute visit designed to give us the time and space to fully understand what’s going on and support you thoughtfully.
​
During this visit, you can expect hands-on support, education, and practical guidance tailored to your goals and your baby’s needs. We’ll move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.
At our consult, I will help with:

achieving a comfortable latch and finding feeding positions that work for you
-
understanding milk transfer and recognizing effective feeding
-
navigating common breastfeeding and bottle-feeding challenges
-
establishing and maintaining a healthy milk supply
-
supporting all feeding methods, including breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bottle feeding, syringe, tube and cup feeding
Additional support, when needed, may include:

breast pump selection, pumping schedules, and proper flange sizing
-
understanding how oral ties or body tension may affect feeding
-
creating a plan for weaning or introducing solids
-
referrals to other trusted specialists
-
connecting you with local resources in Chelsea, Gatineau, and Ottawa

increased confidence in feeding your baby

Follow-Up Home Lactation Consult
60 minutes | $150
Follow-up visits are 60 minutes and are ideal for ongoing support, troubleshooting, and adjusting your care plan as things change.
These visits allow us to:
-
check progress and refine latch, positioning, or feeding strategies
-
address new or lingering concerns
-
support transitions (returning to work, pumping, bottle refusal, weaning, solids, etc.)
-
provide reassurance and guidance as your baby grows
Follow-up care can be booked as needed by clients who have completed an initial in-home visit within the past 3 months, for the same baby.​

Home Lactation Consults for Twins or Multiples
+30 minutes | $30
​
Twins and multiples require more time and care to ensure each baby receives the right amount of support. When booking a home lactation consult for twins or multiples, expect the consult to last a bit longer. Typically 30 minutes extra for each additional baby, or +$30 for each additional baby.
