Postpartum Doula Support
Welcoming a baby into your life is a big transition. It was never meant to be done alone, and can feel like a lot — especially when feeding isn’t going the way you expected.
This is where I come in.
I offer in-home and virtual support that blends evidence-based lactation care with hands-on postpartum support, so you have clear guidance, practical help, and space to settle into life with your baby.
Whether you’re preparing ahead of time or already in the thick of it, you don’t have to figure this out alone.
I offer postpartum doula support to families in Chelsea, Wakefield, Val-des-Monts, Masham, Cantley, Gatineau (QC), and Ottawa (ON).
Blended Postpartum Doula & Lactation Support for families in Outaouais & Ottawa
The early postpartum period is a time for recovery, family adjustment, and learning about your baby - all at once.
As a postpartum doula, I provide practical support in your home, including light household help (dishes, laundry, tidying), experienced newborn care (diapers, baths, feeding), and a steady non-judgmental presence as you find your rhythm.
As an IBCLC, I double as an expert in infant feeding, answering all your questions about breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, and formula use. You'll get clear, evidence-based support when questions or challenges come up.
How I Support You
Postpartum support looks different for every family. During a visit, I might help with:
-
Breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, pumping, or combination feeding
-
Latch, positioning, milk supply, and pain with feeding or nipple damage
-
Support and guidance with formula feeding
-
Understanding newborn behaviour and feeding patterns
-
Light household support so you can rest and recover (laundry, dishes, light tidying, simple meal prep)
-
Clear, evidence-based answers to your postpartum and infant care questions
-
Pet care, sibling care, and partner support
-
Referrals to trusted local resources and services
-
Steady, non-judgmental support for your physical and emotional recovery
Whether you need a nap and clean laundry, help trouble-shooting a latch, or simply someone to talk things through with— I'm there to support you.
My role is to ease the mental and physical load, offer calm and reliable guidance, and help you feel more confident as you settle into life with your baby.

Postpartum Doula Care FAQ
What is Postpartum Doula Care?
Postpartum Doula Care is professional, experienced support for you and your baby during the first 12 weeks after birth.
It includes:
-
Practical Support
Understanding normal newborn behavior, soothing and settling, and cue-based care. Help recognizing what’s normal vs. when to seek medical care, and gentle guidance around normal sleep rhythms (without sleep training). -
Recovery and Adjustment
Emotional support and space to process your birth experience. Support with the ups and downs of early postpartum, along with gentle support to eat, hydrate, and rest. Light household help related to baby care (washing bottles or pump parts, tidying feeding spaces), so you have time to shower, nap, or step outside. -
Finding your Footing
My role isn't to teach you to do things perfectly. I offer steady, consistent support while everything feels new - helping you build confidence to care for your baby, make informed feeding decisions, and move through the early weeks with more ease and less overwhelm.
Who is Postpartum Doula Care for?
Doula support is especially helpful if you:
-
Are a first-time parent

Are navigating feeding questions or challenges
-

-
Don’t have nearby family support
-
Are recovering from a difficult or unexpected birth
