In-Home Lactation Consults in Outaouais & Ottawa
An in-home lactation consult takes place where you and your baby actually do all of the feeding! You get professional, hands-on support, evidence-based education, immediate tips, and a customized care plan tailored to your goals and your baby’s needs.
Home lactation consults are available to families in Chelsea, Wakefield, Val-des-Monts, Masham, Cantley, Gatineau, and Ottawa.
First Home Lactation Consult
90 minutes | $180
Weekend and holidays (limited availability) | $195
Your initial home lactation consult is a comprehensive 90-minute visit designed to give us the time and space to fully understand what’s going on and support you thoughtfully.
During this visit, you can expect hands-on support, education, and practical guidance tailored to your goals and your baby’s needs. We’ll move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.
At an in-home consult, I can help with:

achieving a comfortable latch and finding feeding positions that work for you

understanding milk transfer and recognizing effective feeding
-
navigating common breastfeeding and bottle-feeding challenges
-
establishing and maintaining a healthy milk supply
-
support for all feeding methods, including breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bottle feeding, syringe, tube and cup feeding
Additional support, when needed, may include:

breast pump selection, pumping schedules, and flange sizing
-
understanding how oral ties or body tension may affect feeding
-
creating a plan for weaning or introducing solids
-
referrals to other trusted specialists
-
connecting you with local resources in Chelsea, Gatineau, and Ottawa
After our consult, you’ll receive:

a personalized feeding care plan

clear, actionable next steps

ongoing support through email, text, and follow-up consults
Follow-Up Home Lactation Consult
60 minutes | $155
Follow-up visits are 60 minutes and are ideal for ongoing support, troubleshooting, and adjusting your care plan as things change.
At a follow-up consult, I can:

check progress and refine latch, positioning, or feeding strategies
-
address new or lingering concerns
-
support transitions (returning to work, pumping, bottle refusal, weaning, solids, etc.)
-
provide reassurance and guidance as your baby grows
Follow-up consults can be booked as needed by clients who have had an initial in-home visit within the past 3 months, for the same baby.
Home Lactation Consults for Twins or Multiples
+30 minutes | $30
Twins and multiples often require more time and care to ensure each baby receives the right amount of support. When booking a home lactation consult for twins or multiples, expect the consult to last a bit longer. Typically 30 minutes extra for each additional baby.
Pump Flange Fitting Consult
60 minutes | $150
At a flange fitting consult, we focus soley on pumping. I bring a variety of flange types and sizes to your home for you to try. Together, we find the best flange for your body and your pumping goals. We'll also review your pumping plan, making adjustments based on current evidence and what works for your life.
At a flange fitting consult, we can:

try various flange types, shapes, and sizes

determine a realistic pumping plan that fits your life
A flange fitting consult is designed for pumping support only. For support with breastfeeding or bottle feeding, please book a separate lactation consult.
