An in-home lactation consult lasts about 90 minutes and includes hands-on support, education, immediate tips, and a customized care plan designed around your goals and your baby’s needs. At our consult, I'll help with the following: - achieving a comfortable latch and finding feeding positions that work for you - understanding milk transfer and recognizing effective feeding - navigating common breastfeeding and bottle feeding challenges - establishing and maintaining a healthy milk supply - supporting all feeding methods, including breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bottle feeding, and cup feeding Additional support, when needed, may include: - breast pump selection, pumping schedules, and proper flange sizing - creating a plan for weaning or introducing solids - understanding how oral ties or body tension may affect feeding - referrals to other specialists - connecting you with local resources in Chelsea, Gatineau, and Ottawa After our session, you can expect: - a personalized feeding care plan - increased confidence in feeding your baby - clear, actionable next steps You can book a single in-home lactation consult or choose a package of three visits for continued, consistent support. *** About me: Hi!
