About
Breastfeeding 101 is a simple, self-paced prenatal course that prepares you to breastfeed your newborn. Created by Jessica Maitland, a lactation consultant and postpartum doula based in Chelsea, QC, this 6-module program gives you a clear understanding of how breastfeeding works and what should happen during the early days to set your breastfeeding journey up for success. This course is for parents who: - hope for a smooth breastfeeding experience - want to avoid common early challenges - wish someone would explain things in a straightforward way In this course, you’ll learn how breastfeeding works, how to get a comfortable latch, what’s normal in the first week, how to tell if your baby is getting enough, and how hand expression can make a big difference. You'll also learn simple strategies to avoid and manage the most common early breastfeeding challenges, helping you avoid unnecessary early formula introduction. By the end, you’ll have a realistic picture of what to expect and the tools to navigate the early days with confidence.
